Akuta is a variable font family designed with the aim of combining very distinct lettershapes with good readability while being recognizable, yet not distracting. Following a dynamic philosophy, Akuta gets its distinct shape from diagonally cut off stroke endings reminiscent of the accent acutes' momentum, hence the name. This distinct shape makes Akuta a good choice for corporate typography through its easy recognition. Through both a weight and width axis Akuta can be used both as a display and text font.
Next to aesthetics, Akuta profits from its technical features like ligatures and oldstyle figures, as well as the wide variety of diacritics to support most latin script languages.
